About Myers Lawn & Landscape

Dusk in January over the Route 283 overpass turns the whole township the color of slate, and the cinder trucks come on with their lights. Myers Lawn & Landscape runs snow work through those hours in East Hempfield — plowing driveways, clearing walks, treating the ice that forms in the shade of a garage wall and nowhere else. Storms out of the Alleghenies lose some punch crossing the county but make up for it in wet, heavy accumulation that has to move before it sets. Push early, push again, and the pavement stays workable all night. There is a real satisfaction in an opened driveway at nine in the evening with snow still falling and the job already half won.
