About Jessen Tree Service

Butler County grows big trees, and East Butler's yards are shaded by the proof: sugar maples, red oaks and shagbark hickories leaning over porches and fence lines. Jessen Tree Service works beneath those canopies and up in them, keeping the limbs above in good order and the grass below growing green. In October the borough's slopes burn red and gold, then the leaves come down all at once, and a lawn that looked finished in September needs clearing again. The work is about light as much as lawn — a lifted crown lets the sun back onto the turf, and a raked-out yard lets the shape of the hill show. When the job is done, the trees stand easier and the ground beneath them can breathe.
