About Thorn Forest Products

Winter arrives in Watts Township along the river corridor, where the wind runs between Cove and Peters mountains and finds every driveway in between. Thorn Forest Products is out in it — plowing drives and lots, cutting open walkways, and treating the ice that builds where the mountain shade never lets the sun in. A river valley freezes strangely: bare pavement in one bend, glass in the next, and the route gets run with that in mind. The best hour of the job is the one before daybreak, headlights on clean blacktop, everybody else still asleep. By the time the township starts moving, the way out is already open.
