About Sylvester's Services Inc

Duncannon sits where Sherman Creek gives out into the Susquehanna, hemmed by Cove Mountain on one side and Peters Mountain across the water, and winter weather funnels down that gap with real intent. Sylvester's Services Inc works those nights — plowing driveways and lots, shoveling steps and walkways, and putting down salt where the wind has polished things to ice. Snow that comes off the river is heavy and it does not wait for daylight, so the trucks move ahead of it and then again behind it. What makes the shift worth it is the empty street at first light with a row of properties already open. Duncannon, Marysville, New Buffalo and Newport are the ground covered.
