Wind funnels hard through the gap at Duncannon, coming off Peters Mountain and down the river, and it will refill a cleared drive in an afternoon if you let it. Backdraft Excavating LLC works against that all winter, plowing drives and lots and clearing the walks on the steep lanes above Route 11/15. Grades matter here: a hillside driveway has to be opened in the right order or the snow ends up exactly where nobody wants it.
