Monti’s Lawn Care

About Monti’s Lawn Care

Derry sits along the old main line, and freight still comes through loud enough to set your morning by. Monti's Lawn Care mows the borough's yards between those trains — the narrow strips beside the tracks, the deep lots up the hill, the lawns running out toward the Loyalhanna in the shadow of Chestnut Ridge. Mowing, trimming, edging and seasonal cleanup, done in a rhythm the town recognizes. Western Pennsylvania grass in June wants a cut every five days and forgives nothing if you wait eight, so the route keeps moving. Late summer, with the ridge holding the last of the light and a block cut end to end, the street looks the way people remember it.
