Mark’s Lawn and Tree L.L.C.

About Mark’s Lawn and Tree L.L.C.

October along the river below Dauphin turns the sycamores pale and the water slow. Leaves come down all at once here, carried on the wind that funnels through the water gap, and a yard can vanish under them in an afternoon. Mark's Lawn and Tree L.L.C. works that season and the two on either side of it — mowing through the green months, trimming and edging, raking and clearing leaves, tidying beds and yard lines before the cold. There is a particular pleasure in a lawn uncovered again, striped and open, with the ridge going brown behind it. Dauphin yards get put to bed properly, and come April they wake up ready.
