Elevated estates

About Elevated estates

Up on the Tyler Hill side of Damascus Township the land keeps climbing until the pastures simply run out at the sky, and on a clear afternoon you can watch weather arrive from a county away. Elevated estates keeps lawns in that open country — mowing the long slopes, trimming around fence posts and foundations, edging the walks, hauling off the leaf drift once the maples give it up. Wind is the neighbor up here; it dries a lawn fast and scatters everything you cut, so the passes are laid out to read straight from the road. The reward is a hilltop yard that looks calm in all that open air. The work runs across Damascus Township and the farm roads toward Bethany and Honesdale.
