Poletti Excavating

About Poletti Excavating

February nights come into Cressona still and cold, and by two in the morning the streets along the rail line lie under one clean unbroken sheet. Poletti Excavating is out in that — plowing driveways and lots, opening walkways, salting where the freeze and thaw off the mountain glazes everything before daybreak. The work is repetitive and exact: the same route, the same passes, the snow stacked where it will not block a sightline. By the time the borough wakes, the pavement is dark and wet and nobody has to give it a thought. That is the job done properly.
