About Bread & Butter Lawn Care LLC

Up on the high ground of Coolbaugh Township the growing season shows up late and then shows up all at once, and Bread & Butter Lawn Care LLC is out in it from the first warm week of May. The work is mowing, trimming and edging — long lawns along Route 940, cul-de-sac yards tucked into second-growth hemlock, clearings that families cut out of the woods and mean to keep. On a June morning the dew doesn't burn off until nine, so the first pass goes through silver and the stripes hold all day. Beds get tidied, clippings get blown off the walk, and the edge along the drive comes back sharp enough to draw a line by. In a place that grows this fast, it is work that has to happen every week, and it shows.
