Nicols Tree Service

About Nicols Tree Service

Conneaut Lake freezes over quietly, and the wind coming off Erie loads the shoreline oaks and pines with snow until something has to give. Nicols Tree Service handles whatever gives — storm-broken tops taken off cottage roofs and lake roads, limbs cut and hauled, the drive opened again. Warmer months are for steadier work: trimming growth that has crowded a porch or a path to the dock, pruning shade trees on the lots around the water, removing the ones that lean a little further toward the cabin every year. Nothing gets dropped on these properties, because the yards are small and the view is the reason people came here in the first place. By the time a summer evening settles over the lake, a place looks open and kept, and the trees still standing are the ones worth keeping.
