Doug's Tree Service

About Doug's Tree Service

The Susquehanna is wide at Columbia, and the bluff at Chickies Rock takes the weather first, before it comes down over the town's brick streets. Doug's Tree Service works the yards under that ridge and out along the river flats, trimming big shade trees back off porch roofs and pruning the young ones so they grow up out of trouble. Removals start at the top and work down into small Lancaster County backyards, where the fence line and the garden matter as much as the tree does. After a river-valley thunderstorm has come through and left limbs across the drive, cleanup runs until the yard is raked and the last of the wood is on the truck. Standing back with the bridge lights coming on down the hill, a clean lot is the right way to end a day.
