Green Grass Grows

About Green Grass Grows

Collingdale is a borough of straight streets and small front lawns, sycamores at the curb and the trolley drawing its line toward Sharon Hill. Green Grass Grows takes those yards seriously, mowing, trimming along fences and porch steps, edging the sidewalk line, and hauling off what spring and autumn leave behind. A lawn twenty feet deep gives you nowhere to hide, so every edge and every corner counts double. Darby Creek keeps this stretch of Delaware County damp and green well into the fall, which means the cut holds its schedule longer than people expect. Row after row, a tidy strip of grass out front is what makes a block look loved.
