Laura's Land-Care

About Laura's Land-Care

Cokeburg takes its name from the coke its company ovens once produced, and this small Washington County borough still keeps the orderly rows of houses its mining days left behind. Those yards are compact, sloped and full of character, and Laura's Land-Care gives each one its due. On a dewy June morning the mower works across the hillside lawns while the trimmer finds the line where grass meets sidewalk, until the whole street looks freshly combed. Where smoke once drifted over the valley, there is now the scent of cut grass and birdsong from the backyard maples. Keeping a hardworking town's lawns looking loved is the work Laura's Land-Care takes pride in.
