Cel's Tree Care

About Cel's Tree Care

Chester meets the Delaware where the ships still come and go, and behind the waterfront the rowhouse blocks hold street trees that have watched a long century pass. Cel's Tree Care keeps them workable — pruning them back into a shape the sidewalk can live with, trimming limbs off second-story windows and porch roofs, taking out deadwood before the wind does it first. Removals on a block this tight are all rope and planning, the wood eased into a small yard and carried out to the street. Storms ride up the Delaware in a hurry, and the morning after is for pulling limbs off the front steps and getting the block open again. When it is done the street looks like somebody is looking after it, which in an old river city is worth more than it sounds.
