Irwin Lawn Care

About Irwin Lawn Care

The first mow of the year in Elkins Park usually comes in a rush — a warm week in April, the meadow up at High School Park suddenly waist-deep in green, and every lawn in the neighborhood asking for attention on the same Tuesday. Irwin Lawn Care meets that opening, mowing, trimming and edging across Cheltenham Township and then holding the line week by week through the season. Spring turf is soft and wet, so the craft is in cutting cleanly without leaving a track, and in laying the first straight pass that every later one will follow. There's real satisfaction in the way a shaggy yard becomes an even, tended thing in under an hour, borders sharp and clippings swept off the sidewalk. From that April start the routine runs on through the summer and closes out with the leaves in November.
