About New Earth Property Services

Spring arrives in the Mon Valley from the bottom up — the river terraces greening first, then the yards on the middle slopes, then finally the hilltop lots above Charleroi where the wind still has an edge in April. New Earth Property Services mows, trims and cleans up lawns all through that climb, on narrow brick-street parcels and on the wider ground out toward the ridge. Half the pleasure of the work is proportion: a small city yard, cut level and edged square, reads as generous, and a big sloping one stops looking like a chore. Between the glass-town rowhouses and the alleys behind them, grass grows in odd shapes, and every one of them gets its own line. Come autumn the leaves come down all at once off the hillside oaks, and the last cleanup leaves the place bare, swept and ready.
