About Jim's Tree Services

River fog sits in the Mon Valley most winter mornings, and Charleroi comes out of it in terraces — street above street above the water. Jim's Tree Services works those slopes, where a removal means rigging on a grade and carrying wood uphill to the truck rather than dropping anything onto the yard below. Trimming keeps the big silver maples off flat porch roofs, and pruning keeps the hillside trees from someday taking the retaining wall with them. When wind funnels up the river and leaves limbs across the alleys, cleanup is quick and complete: the alley opened, the wood loaded out, the pavement swept. A clear driveway on a Charleroi hillside before the day starts is a real accomplishment, and it is the one they aim at.
