D&R

About D&R

Chambersburg's older blocks were laid out tight — brick fronts near the sidewalk, a narrow strip of green, an alley running along behind — and a small lawn shows every shortcut anybody takes on it. D&R mows those yards clean, trims around the meter and the porch steps and the length of the fence, and cuts the edge along the walk so the grass stops exactly where it ought to. Larger lots out toward the township roads get the same treatment with more room to swing. Cleanups in spring and again in fall clear out what the maples drop and what the winter leaves behind in the corners. It is the sort of upkeep nobody photographs and everybody notices.
