Chad's Firewood, Snowplowing & Tree

About Chad's Firewood, Snowplowing & Tree

East of Chambersburg the oak and hickory ridges of South Mountain hold the cold longer than the valley floor does, and when a storm crosses both, the difference gets measured in inches. Chad's Firewood, Snowplowing & Tree runs the plow through those hours — driveways opened, lots pushed back, walks cleared and treated so the first steps of the day are ordinary ones. February mornings in Franklin County arrive with woodsmoke lying flat over the fields and a sky the color of a nickel, and the job is to have the pavement ready before anyone thinks to look out the window. Straight edges, clean turnarounds, snow banked out of the way rather than shoved into the next problem. Winter here is a run of small deadlines, and every one of them is worth meeting.
