About Ziegert's Tree Service LLC

Late winter in the Catawissa valley is bare and bright, the fields tan, the woodlots showing every trunk that split in the last storm. Ziegert's Tree Service uses that stretch for pruning — the season when a crown can be read honestly and cuts made where the tree will heal them, on yard maples and orchard trees and the old shade trees along the back roads. Removals go on year-round, whether it is a dead limb hanging over a porch or a whole tree that has leaned a little further toward the house each year. When wind comes down the valley and lays timber across a driveway, they clear it out and leave the gravel raked behind them. By the time green returns to the hillsides, the yards they have worked are set for the year.
