Northeast Tree Services.

About Northeast Tree Services.

Catawissa sits where its creek meets the Susquehanna, with the mountain rising right behind town and the ridges holding their gold clear into November. Northeast Tree Services works that river-bottom ground and the hollows above it — taking down storm-split oaks and standing ash, trimming limbs off farmhouse roofs and barn lanes, pruning young trees so they never become the problem. River wind and mountain wind arrive from different directions here, and both leave work behind; when they do, the yard gets cleared to the last stick. The pleasure is in the after: a lane a truck can get down, a yard with the light let back into it. Small-town work, done so the place looks like itself again.
