About Top Notch Tree and Landscape

By mid-October the color comes down off South Mountain into Carlisle a week or so behind the ridge, and then the yards fill up. Top Notch Tree and Landscape works underneath all of it — mowing while the grass still wants cutting, trimming and edging the lines back into view, clearing leaf fall off beds and turf before it mats down and smothers what is beneath. Autumn lawn care in the Cumberland Valley is mostly about giving the ground a fair start at spring. There is a particular satisfaction in the last pass of the year: turf standing up, borders cut sharp, the whole property looking swept. Then the ridge goes bare and Carlisle turns toward the short days.
