About Empire Excavation LLC
Up on the Allegheny plateau snow does not so much fall as accumulate — westerly air lifting over the Front, gray days that quietly hand Cambria Township another eight inches. Empire Excavation LLC turns to the plow when the mountain turns white. Long lanes, wide farm drives, lots along the Route 22 corridor: plowing, pushing the banks back before they squeeze a drive down to one lane, clearing walkways, treating the grades that glaze. An excavation outfit keeps heavy iron and knows exactly where to put it, which is most of what a mountain winter asks for. Coming up over the last rise to find the lane already open is its own kind of relief.
