Rumbaugh Lawn Services

About Rumbaugh Lawn Services

Northeast of Butler the land drops into old oil-country hollows, where Route 268 bends past Karns City and Petrolia and the morning fog pools low between the hills. Rumbaugh Lawn Services starts winter days down in there, plowing out drives that sit at the bottom of a grade nobody would choose to climb on ice. Mowing, trimming, edging and cleanups when the hollows go green again, then blades and salt when they don't. There is a satisfaction in a cleared, salted drive at first light that summer work can't quite match — though a straight-cut lawn in June comes close. Across Butler and the small towns up that way, both seasons get worked the same: early, and all the way to the edges.
