About Absolute Arboriculture LLC

Butler snow tends to arrive sideways off the lake, hours behind Erie, filling the hollows first and then the hilltops. Absolute Arboriculture LLC works those small dark hours when the streetlights are nothing but cones of falling white and the town has not stirred. Steep drives, tight turnarounds, walks, salt laid at the foot of the steps — the whole point is that someone opens a door at six and simply leaves for work. Winter is also when a tree shows its true architecture, bare and legible against a gray western Pennsylvania sky, and that shape is never far from mind. By the time the first cars come down off Institute Hill, the pavement is black and wet and nothing about the night is showing.
