Gabe and Joe's Snow

About Gabe and Joe's Snow

On a January night in Brady the sky clears after a storm, and the cold sharpens until the snow squeaks underfoot and the moon throws blue shadows across the fields. Gabe and Joe's Snow is out in that pre-dawn hush, plowing driveways and opening the way before the township wakes. Wind across open ground can drift a lane shut twice in one night, so the job takes patience as much as horsepower. When the headlights finally swing away, a dark ribbon of driveway runs straight to the road between white walls.
