Merkel's Tree Service

About Merkel's Tree Service

On a June evening in Boyertown the light lasts a long time over the fields toward the Oley Valley, and the old Colebrookdale line runs its slow way along Ironstone Creek through countryside stitched with hedgerows and orchards. Trees here shade barns, farmhouses and borough porches alike, and every one of them eventually asks for something: a limb off the roof, a crown lightened, a whole tree taken out. Removals near buildings come down roped and in sections; out in the open there is room to work and room to drop. Pruning and trimming clear the eaves and the drives and take out deadwood before a thunderstorm rolls off the ridge. When one does, cleanup carries off what fell and leaves the place looking settled again.
