The first real storm usually comes up the plateau toward Snow Shoe while the valley is still getting rain, and by the time it works into Boggs Township the season has made its point. Ram Construction and Excavating runs the snow work from that night through the last gasp of March, plowing drives and lots, opening entries, spreading salt where a slope meets a road. Big equipment helps, but the job is mostly judgment: where to put the snow so the next storm still has somewhere to go, and where to ease off because a culvert edge is hiding under the white. None of it is loud work. Someone steps outside at daylight, sees black pavement, and gets on with the morning.
