About J Furry Lawn Care

From Chimney Rocks the whole valley lays out below Hollidaysburg — rooftops, steeples, the fields running south — and by late afternoon the ridge shadow moves over the lawns one street at a time. J Furry Lawn Care is usually still cutting when it does, closing out the day's route with trim work around mailbox posts, swing-set legs and the hedges that crowd a driveway. Fall is the long stretch here: the maples let go all through October, and the leaves are taken off grass and beds in passes instead of left to smother the turf. Through the growing season it is the plain rhythm — mow, edge, trim, tidy the pavement, on to the next one. The reward is a yard that holds its shape right through the ridge shadow and into dusk.
