ACC International

About ACC International

Winter finds the Route 724 corridor early. Long before the first commuter backs out of a driveway in Birdsboro, ACC International is already working the approaches and lots along the borough's working edge, blade down, headlights swinging across white. This is a town shaped by iron and shift work, and there is a certain respect in clearing ground so people can get where they are going on time. Salt goes where the shade holds ice; the plow leaves an edge you could measure with a straightedge. By the time the sky over Berks County turns the color of tin, the pavement is black again and the day can start.
