Keystone Snow Management

About Keystone Snow Management

At two in the morning the old blast furnaces on the south side stand black against a sky full of falling snow, and the lots below them are empty and white. Keystone Snow Management is out in that hour, plowing commercial lots and driveways, clearing walkways and entrances, spreading salt and running ice control before the first shift arrives. Managing snow in a city built on hills means knowing which approach glazes first and which pile will melt across a lane by noon. None of it is glamorous, and all of it is noticed only when it has not been done. Having Bethlehem open by seven is the whole assignment.
