Reber And Zerbe Enterprises

About Reber And Zerbe Enterprises

When a squall drops off the mountain onto Bethel it comes fast — a half hour of white, the fields gone, and the long straight roads filling in from the shoulders. Reber And Zerbe Enterprises runs into that, plowing farm lanes, driveways and lots while the snow is still moving, then coming back after the wind has redrawn everything with drift. Salt and cinders go where the grade and the shade conspire, at the foot of a slope or in the shadow of a bank barn. Walks, entries and the space in front of the door are opened by shovel, so the path is real and not just a suggestion. There is a particular quiet at the far end of a storm, blade down, the road ahead of you opening up.
