About Kohls Landscaping LLC

Cold nights in Bern Township pull a low fog off the Tulpehocken and the water below Blue Marsh, and by the time a storm settles over the Berks County farmland the back roads have already gone slick. Kohls Landscaping LLC is out in that hour, blade down, opening driveways and lots while the rest of the township is still dark. The Schuylkill valley catches heavy wet snow that packs hard under traffic, so the work is scraping close to the surface, clearing the walk to the door, and salting ahead of the freeze that follows a clearing sky. There's a particular kind of satisfaction in a cleared apron at sunrise — black pavement, sharp banks, nothing left for anyone to shovel. Snow work for Bern Township and the neighboring Berks County communities, finished before the morning starts.
