About Moonlighting Landscape & Design

Dark falls early and completely in the hemlock hollows along the Brodhead, where the ridges shut off the last of the light before the sky is finished with it. Moonlighting Landscape & Design tends the yards tucked into those woods around Mountainhome and Canadensis — mowing, edging, trimming back the encroaching green, and raking the beds out when the leaves and needles come down. Mountain lots have their own logic: shade on one side, sun on the other, roots everywhere in between. The pleasure is in a lawn that meets the treeline on purpose rather than by accident, and holds that shape all the way to October.
