About Edwin's Glorious Gardens Etc.

August evenings in Ambler arrive slowly — brick sidewalks giving back the day's heat, fireflies lifting out of the grass at the edge of the yard. Edwin's Glorious Gardens Etc. tends the lawns those evenings happen on: mowing, trimming the borders, edging the walks, keeping the turf even from the porch steps to the back fence. The work follows the weather closely, quick through the wet weeks of May, gentler in the parched stretch of late summer. Fall means leaves, and plenty of them, off the street maples and the big old oaks, cleared before they turn into a sodden mat. A yard that looks looked-after is an invitation to be outside in it, and that is the reason for all of it.
