About Advanced Tree Care

Autumn in Ambler starts along the Wissahickon and works its way up into town, until Butler Avenue is lit from above and the stone Victorians wear a week of gold on their lawns. Old borough trees are magnificent and demanding in equal measure — beeches, oaks and tulip poplars that have outgrown the yards they were planted in. When one has to come out, it comes out in pieces, rigged clear of slate roofs and porch rails. Pruning and trimming through the cooler months take out deadwood, lift the canopy off the eaves, and set the shape a tree will carry into spring. After a storm crosses this corner of Montgomery County, cleanup takes away what came down and leaves the lawn ready for the next quiet Saturday.
