About Splendid Acres

Between the causeways that link Stuart and Jensen Beach, Sewall's Point keeps its lots green, shaded and a little wild at the edges. Splendid Acres tends them on a regular round — mowing, edging, string trimming, shrub and hedge shaping, bed weeding and haul-away — so that what's meant to look lush still looks kept. In a place where bougainvillea will cover a fence in one season, restraint is half the craft. Late in the day, with the mower loaded and the walks blown clean, a yard along here sits framed by its own hedges and looks exactly as it should. Coming back the next week to hold that line is the other half.
