About Diesel's Landscaping LLC.

February in Altoona has an hour before four in the morning when nothing moves on Pleasant Valley Boulevard except the plows and the snow crossing the lights sideways. Diesel's Landscaping LLC. is out in it — engines warmed, routes divided, drives pushed back to the pavement and walks opened so the first step out the door is a safe one, with salt down where the wind packs it hardest. Come summer the same trucks trade blades for mowers, and the work becomes cutting on a steady cycle, trimming the edges clean, and keeping the yard clear of what the season sheds. Altoona storms roll off the mountain in stacked bands and rarely quit when they are supposed to, so a second pass is part of the job rather than a favor. It is loud, early work, and the reward is a city block that gets to start its day on time.
