Claws Excavating and Landscaping

About Claws Excavating and Landscaping

Ground on the Altoona side of the Allegheny Front does not give anything up easily — clay that holds water, shale that turns up a stone for every shovelful, slopes that decide where the runoff goes. Claws Excavating and Landscaping reads that ground before it touches it, then mows the grades in the direction they want to be mowed and trims the rough margins where a lawn meets the bank. Edges get cut so the drive stops looking like it is being swallowed, and seasonal cleanups take the load off before winter. When the snow comes down the mountain, the same properties get plowed out, their walks opened and their icy stretches salted. Steep, stony, awkward lots around Blair County are the ones this work was built for.
