Campbell's Lawn Care

About Campbell's Lawn Care

Saturday morning in the avenues above downtown Altoona has its own soundtrack, and a mower running the length of a small back yard is a good part of it. Campbell's Lawn Care keeps to those city lots — gates that swing just wide enough, patches of lawn behind the alley, front strips that get judged from every passing car. The cut goes on a schedule, the trimmer takes the meter posts and the fence corners, the edger returns the sidewalk to its true line, and the clippings get blown off the concrete rather than left to wash into the gutter. Blair County grass grows fast between rains and then quits in the heat, so timing matters more than horsepower here. Block by block across Altoona, the result is a street where the yards look like somebody keeps them.
