Baldy’s lawn and landscaping

About Baldy’s lawn and landscaping

From the Chimney Rocks the whole spread is laid out at once — Hollidaysburg tucked in the bend, Altoona climbing its hillsides, farm squares running off toward the Front. Baldy's lawn and landscaping keeps that overhead view in mind at ground level, because a lawn is really a shape before it is anything else. Midday in high summer the mowing is honest work: passes laid out to suit the lot, trimmer run tight to fence lines and foundations, edges cut so the concrete reads clean from the street. Beds get their borders back, corners get the attention corners usually miss, and the cuttings come off the walks before the truck pulls away. Around Altoona and the towns below the ridge, the reward is simple — pulling in at dusk and finding the yard looking exactly like somebody meant it.
