Lawn Tailor

About Lawn Tailor

The name is the method. Lawn Tailor measures a yard the way a tailor measures a sleeve — where the line should fall, how much to take off, where the seam belongs against the walk. In Aliquippa that means allowing for slope, for the way a hillside lot wants to be cut across instead of straight up, for the odd corner behind the garage that most passes round off. Mowing, trimming, edging and steady seasonal upkeep, taken to a finished line rather than a rough approximation. On a Saturday afternoon up on the hill streets you can pick out the tailored yards from a block away — lines even, corners squared, nothing shaggy at the fence.
