About Martin Lawn Services

West Aliquippa sits low and close to the water, a grid of streets on the flat with the Ohio sliding past the end of them and the hill standing up like a wall behind. Martin Lawn Services keeps that neighborhood and the streets above it mown, trimmed and tidy, working ground that grows fast because the river keeps it humid all summer long. Down on the flats the grass comes in thick and the borders want attention twice as often, and holding those borders is half the job. In winter the flats catch the wind and the snow drifts along the fences, so the plow goes on and driveways get opened before the light does. A clear walk on a cold morning is a small favor that lasts the whole day.
