About Pristine Home Services LLC

In Yachats the morning arrives off the water gray and soft, and the grass keeps growing right through it — rain-fed, salt-touched, never quite asleep. Pristine Home Services LLC works the yards along the Yachats River and up the streets that climb toward Cape Perpetua, laying mowing lines straight where the ground allows and cutting a crisp edge where lawn gives way to gravel and basalt. Coastal grass has its own habits: it thickens in the fog, it creeps at the borders, it hides its clippings down in the damp. So the day is trimming close around fence posts and salal, shaping hedges back off the walkways, and hauling away the needles and leaves the wind brings down from the Siuslaw ridges. There is a plain pleasure in the last pass of the afternoon — the yard squared off, the drive swept clean, one bright green rectangle sitting against a sky the color of driftwood. From Waldport and Seal Rock down the highway into Yachats and inland toward Tidewater, that is the shape of the work.
