The Tualatin River loops through town so slowly you can miss that it is moving at all, and the mornings along it come up cool and grey even in July. Otter Landscapes starts early on those days — mowing before the heat arrives, edging the walks and beds, trimming the corners, and clearing off what the cut leaves so nothing mats into the turf. Valley soil grows grass with genuine enthusiasm from March into October, and keeping pace with it is the job. A lawn held at the same height week after week develops an evenness you can see the length of the block. That is what all the early mornings are for.
