About Track Town Tree and Lawn Care LLC

October turns the cottonwoods along the McKenzie yellow all at once, and then a week of wind puts most of that color on the ground. Track Town Tree and Lawn Care LLC spends that stretch raking, blowing and hauling — driveways, parking strips, the deep corners of a lot where leaves stack against a fence and sit wet all winter if nobody moves them. Out at Dorris Ranch the hazelnut rows are being swept the same way, which is about right for this town, where the tidying is half the year's work. The rest of the calendar is mowing to a rhythm, trimming, edging the walks, and keeping a yard in one condition instead of two. Springfield does not do gentle transitions; it goes from dry gold to steady gray in a fortnight, and a lawn tended through that turn comes out the far side without a bare patch to show for it.
