Gustav's Yard Service

About Gustav's Yard Service

On the clear cold mornings the Coburg Hills stand up sharp along the north horizon and every Springfield lawn holds its frost until about ten. Gustav's Yard Service works right through that stretch — leaf and fir-needle cleanup, dormant pruning on the shrubs, moss knocked back off the turf, and a cut whenever the grass keeps growing, which in this valley it mostly does. Storm limbs and blown-in debris go out of the yard on the same visit. Winter yard work is unglamorous, and it is exactly what keeps a lawn from turning to felt by March. Come the first warm week the place is ready to green up rather than start over.
