About Thompson Landscape Designs

On the hill streets above downtown, October fog sits in the yards until nearly noon, and the old maples let go a week's worth of leaves in a single windy night. Thompson Landscape Designs works those terraced Silverton lots — mowing the short slopes and the level strips, edging where lawn meets stone and stair, raking and hauling what autumn drops so the grass keeps its color into winter. Sloped ground rewards patience: the pass has to follow the grade, the trimmer finishes what the mower cannot reach, and the yard ends up looking composed from the sidewalk below. Come spring those same hillside lawns green up first, and the round begins again. Silverton, Mount Angel, Scotts Mills, Sublimity and the hill country around them.
