Gary's Tractor Services

About Gary's Tractor Services

Out past the last streetlight a yard stops being a square and starts being acreage — pasture edges, orchard margins, turf that runs to the treeline above the Pudding River bottoms. Gary's Tractor Services takes on that scale of ground around Silverton, mowing large lots and open grass, knocking back the rough along fences and ditch banks, and tidying the strip between the drive and the field. Early summer is when it counts, the stretch when everything comes on at once and a place can look abandoned in ten days. Cut down and cleared off, the same ground reads open again: you can see the barn, the fence corners, the whole shape of the property from the road. Silverton, Mount Angel, Marquam, Scotts Mills and the farm roads running toward Molalla.
